On our third day in the French Riviera, we decided to head back towards Cap Ferrat and spend the morning visiting a historic French villa from the Belle Epoque period, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. The villa was built by Beatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild in 1907 as her winter residence. It is a gorgeous residence with magnificent view over the Cote d'Azur ocean on either side, beautiful architecture and furniture, and spectacular themed gardens (Japanese, Rose, Cactus, French, etc.) with water shows from the fountains every 20 minutes. Beatrice sure was a lucky lady to live in this place!

And with that, summer "staycation-ish" 2014 came to an end :( It was a spectacular few weeks with Mama K! I think I'll continue to the trend for the third year in a row and take another staycation-ish in summer 2015 -- who is up for joining me?!
